This is my Z1000SX once brand new, pictured 9 months old and 10,000 miles old. Now it’s two years and 17,000 miles old.

When this blog is done who knows where it will be and how far it an I will have travelled – hopefully all of it with my arse upon it.

It is my sincere intention to document using words, photographs, video and sometimes gestures and sketches the cutting edge of science with respect to all aspects of holistic and advanced motorcycling.

I started this blog to create a record of the planning and execution of a European Adventure, very probably the last such friendly adventure that any Briton will undertake. In the future Britons will likely adopt a naturally colonial approach once again.

No animals will be gratuitously harmed in the making of this blog although it will remain forever unsuitable for vegetarians.  Vegans need not apply.
